Jersey’s office athletes will tomorrow be lacing up their trainers and trading keyboard clicks for running kicks, as the Canaccord Corporate Cup returns for its twelfth year.
The annual 5km race series will see team and solo runners take part in a monthly race at lunchtime while raising money for charity.
Competing in men’s, women’s or mixed categories, participants will race for the coveted trophies, with prizes for solo competitors, teams and gym or sports clubs up for grabs.
Starting tomorrow, the event is designed to encourage office-based workers to get some lunchtime exercise, with a bit of healthy competition thrown in.
Raising money for Jersey Stroke Support this year, all races will start at the Freedom Tree at Jardin de la Mar and participants will be able to run, jog or walk the distance at their own speed.
