Asa Tribe produced a match-winning unbeaten half century as the England Lions beat the Pakistan Shaheens by four wickets.

Competing in the first unofficial T20I in Abu Dhabi, Tribe scored his maiden Lions white ball fifty, scoring 64* from 48 balls, including six fours and one maximum batting at number five.

This innings goes alongside previous scores of 53* and 129 for the Lions during their red ball tour of Australia over the winter.

Batting first, Pakistan Shaheens scored 152 for 7 in their 20 overs, captain Shamyl Hussain top scoring with 57 while Lions bowlers Saqib Mahmood and James Coles both claimed two wickets.

In reply, the Lions lost three wickets early before Tribe guided his side to a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series with five balls remaining.

The second game of the series is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Sunday 22 February.
