Museums celebrate bumper season as winter closures loom

Almost 66,000 people visited Guernsey’s museums in the first eight months of this year, up 3% on the same period in 2025. Castle Cornet enjoyed a particularly busy summer before closing early in September for bridge restoration work. More than 5,200 people attended KPMG Castle Nights, while Twilight Cinema sold over 2,300 tickets. Fort Grey and the German Naval Signals Headquarters will close for the winter after Sunday 1 November. However, Guernsey Museum at Candie will remain open until 31 December, with its LEGO history exhibition continuing alongside Halloween activities this Friday and Saturday.
