Friday 24 March 2017

Glen Kehoe has been appointed as a director for Digimap in Jersey, after 10 years with the technology firm.

Digimap are the official mapping partners to the States of Jersey and the States of Guernsey, and are best known for their geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping software, which is widely used in the Islands and further afield.

Managing Director of Digimap, Colin Le Conte, said: “Glen has been a key part of our business for 10 years and a vital driver behind our success in Jersey. We are really thrilled to appoint him as a director and believe it will enable us to continue our growth in the island.”

Mr Kehoe said: “Over the last few years I have been involved in many projects for instance bringing together the island’s utility companies to enable the sharing of their asset locations through a secure shared services mapping website. I was also involved in assisting with the Island Games technical projects when they were held in Jersey in 2015.”

“Presenting map data in 3D gives people the ability to see things spatially. This is a great benefit to planning process and residential property development. In addition, Digimap are looking at aerial based LiDAR and a number of innovative projects which could benefit from this technology.”
