One local hotel is making sure its guests look and stay cool as the temperatures soar in the Island.
The “Sunshine Butler” has come to stay at the Club Hotel & Spa and will be polishing guests’ sunglasses, handing out suncream, cooling face and foot mineral water misters, refreshing iced towels and chilled watermelon whilst they are busy concentrating on topping up their tans.
Chris Barsan has been working for the five-star luxury hotel for several years and has been given the new summer job because of his “sunny” personality.
He’s proving to be a big hit with guests who are said to be surprised, thrilled and delighted to find him by the side of the pool.
The Hotel’s Front Office Manager Marek Jurczyk said: “We have well-healed guests who absolutely love the sunglasses polishing service, while the additional touches such as the watermelon, face and foot water mists, range of factors of suntan cream, and ice cold towels are all proving to be incredibly welcome.”
Mr Jurczyk says the hotel and its Michelin starred restaurant are busier than ever this year and is positive it’s down to the glorious weather and he’s anticipating the pool area will be more buzzing than usual now the "Sunshine Butler" is in town.
