NatWest International, (as part of RBS International), has supported the expansion of Guernsey’s Blue Diamond Group with a £100 million financing plan.
Currently the locally headquartered group has 50 garden centres across the UK and the Channel Islands, with the cash influx intended to help buy other garden centres, as well as for day-to-day operations.
NatWest International said the bank has a long standing relationship with Blue Diamond, and is happy to support its expansion plans.
Lynn Whitworth, the Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking in Guernsey for RBS International, said: “It’s a pleasure to support the continued growth of this well-established Guernsey-headquartered business which has been part of the community for many years.
“The bank’s relationship with Blue Diamond can be traced back to their origin and the recent refinancing reflects our ongoing commitment to help businesses thrive and expand.”
Neil McDonald, the Group Finance Director of Blue Diamond Group added: “Blue Diamond has worked with RBS International for many years and the team has always been pragmatic and easy to deal with. We’re delighted to put this new facility in place which will help us deliver our strategy as we continue to grow.”
