Two patients needed an urgent transfer from Sark to Guernsey during the island’s Liberation Day on Saturday.
The Sark doctor had asked the Flying Christine III to attend for a patient with a medical condition that needed to be taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey at around 16:30.
While the marine ambulance was on its way, a second call came in for help with a patient suffering a “traumatic injury” who also needed to go to hospital.
Both patients were taken to Guernsey at the same time with two ambulances meeting the boat at St Peter Port Harbour when it arrived.

The Flying Christine had already been in Sark earlier in the day to offer additional support in case it was needed during the Royal Visit and public celebrations of Liberation Day, however, the volunteer crew had returned to Guernsey by the time the two calls for help were made.
This was the first time the Flying Christine was used for a medical mission since she returned to operational service last week following her 30-year refit.
