Bob Cunningham Lomax received the Butterfield Undergraduate Scholarship for Employees’ Children which will go towards his upcoming first year at Southampton University.

It’s one of three regional scholarships available to the company’s employees and their families and can be maintained for up to four years.

Richard Saunders, Butterfield’s Managing Director of the Channel Islands & UK, said: “We are delighted to award this scholarship to Bob and look forward to following his continued successes. Butterfield continues to invest in education and provide opportunities for our young people with a view to empowering the next generation to achieve their career ambitions.

Last year, local student Mae Ingrouille was awarded the scholarship as she departed the Bailiwick to study Medicine at the University of Manchester, and in 2022 it was given to a Jersey student who is studying Fashion at the University of Leeds.
