Butterfield has launched a new scholarship for full-time undergraduate students from Guernsey and Jersey and opened applications.
The newly launched Butterfield Channel Islands Undergraduate Scholarship awards US$30,000 annually for up to four years of study to an outstanding student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree and has an interest in financial services.
There is also an opportunity to work at Butterfield during the holidays and after graduation if a suitable role exists.
Richard Saunders, Butterfield’s Managing Director in the Channel Islands, said: “We are committed to investing in education and empowering young people in our communities to pursue their career aspirations.
“Alongside our summer internship programme, which is now open to applications, and our graduate talent programme, which will re-open towards the end of this year, we are delighted to offer the Channel Islands Undergraduate Scholarship for students from Guernsey and Jersey. We encourage all eligible candidates to apply.”
The criteria for selection includes academic excellence, community involvement and extracurricular attainments, and a candidate’s demonstrated ability to lead. Eligible candidates are invited to apply before the end of March via Butterfield’s website.
