The Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Gala Dinner at Beau Sejour this November will mark the grand finale of the first island-wide AI Sprint, taking place this Autumn.

With headline sponsor PwC, ‘Brave New Island’ brings together the innovators, business leaders, practitioners and champions who have driven the AI Sprint – and charts the course for what comes next.

The evening’s special guest speaker will be Dr Jo Salter MBE, a pioneer in breaking boundaries and driving AI adoption in the business world. Dr Salter is a trailblazer in aviation and leadership and is celebrated for her historic role as the first female fast jet pilot in the Royal Air Force.

Her career has been defined by challenging convention and her keynote promises to inspire Guernsey’s business community as it looks towards an ambitious, AI-confident future.

Alice Gill, the Chamber’s Executive Director, said the dinner would be an event “where the business community truly comes together, and this year it carries even greater significance as the grand finale of Guernsey’s first island-wide AI Sprint”.

‘Brave New Island’ was “about celebrating what we have achieved as a community and looking boldly at what comes next”, she added.

“We have an exceptional evening planned – with fantastic networking opportunities, an inspiring speaker and a room full of the people who are shaping Guernsey’s future.”

PwC’s support is a powerful statement of commitment to Guernsey’s business community and to the spirit of innovation that the AI Sprint embodies, a spokesperson said.

“We are delighted to be the headline sponsor for the Guernsey Chamber Annual Gala Dinner, a highlight in the island’s business calendar,” said Roland Mills, Lead Office Partner – Guernsey, PwC Channel Islands.

“PwC’s involvement goes beyond mere sponsorship; it reflects our commitment to Guernsey’s economic landscape, and our proactive approach in driving innovation through initiatives like the AI Sprint.

“This dinner not only serves as the culmination of Guernsey’s ambitious six-week AI programme but also allows us to reinforce our position as a key momentum creator in the local financial services sector and more widely.

“The opportunity to engage directly with almost 500 industry leaders and professionals during this gala is invaluable, and aligns perfectly with our vision to be bold, collaborate, innovate and lead Guernsey towards a digitally advanced future.”

The Gala Dinner draws decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders for a night that’s inspiring and enjoyable.
