A Guernsey FinTech firm has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer, a spokesperson said.
Carolyn Mercer joins Vega Technology as CFO, with experience across a range of sectors including BioTech, telecoms, elite sport and publishing.
The spokesperson said Ms Mercer brings “valuable cross-industry perspective” to the firm, which specialises in areas including agentic AI, automating regulatory reporting and online portals.
Ms Mercer, a CIMA qualified finance leader, said she was “delighted” to join the firm as it had “strong momentum and a clear vision for the future”.
“I look forward to supporting the team in building the financial foundations that will enable continued growth and innovation,” she added.
Ms Mercer would be responsible for “strengthening Vega’s financial framework, ensuring robust governance, and supporting strategic decision making across the organisation”, the spokesperson said.
“As the business grows, this role becomes increasingly critical in maintaining financial clarity, managing risk, and enabling sustainable, long-term growth.”
