Les Bourgs Hospice will open a new charity shop at Oatlands Village.
The charity signed the lease after months of negotiations, as special permission needed to be granted for a charity shop to set itself up there.
The hospice thanked Deputy Neil Inder, Development and Planning Authority (DPA) President, for his help reaching an agreement.
The new shop will sell children’s clothes, toys and gifts at the visitor attraction in the north of the island.
Rob Jones, CEO of Les Bourgs, said the move was “not just about raising funds – it’s about building community”.
He added: “We want to give people in the north of the island the chance to visit a Hospice charity shop on their doorstep, offering affordable children’s clothes and toys at a time when many families are feeling the pressure of rising living costs.”
Les Bourgs plans to open the new shop on Thursday 1 October.
St Martin’s Hospice Shop in Les Huriaux is accepting donations of children’s clothes and toys ahead of the new shop’s opening.
