Guernsey’s rate of inflation has slowed further – dropping another 1.2% during 2025.
At the end of December the ‘all items RPI’ was at 3.4% – that’s the rate at which prices are increasing. This had slowed from 4.6% a year earlier.
Statistics excluding mortgage payments, and indirect taxes, also showed an increase of 3.4%.
During 2025, people renting or those who partially own their homes experienced inflation of 4.6%, however.
Staple goods and services – which includes utility bills and food – increased by 5.2%.
Inflation is calculated by the States of Guernsey’s Data and Analysis team.
The rate of inflation is published quarterly. The next update is due in April.
