A pan-island event focusing on female entrepreneurship and social impact will take place on Thursday 5 March, ahead of Sunday’s International Women’s Day.

TEKEX 35 – Female Founder 2.0 will shine a spotlight on women working in health education, community safety and innovation, and will be live streamed across Jersey and Guernsey.

It will feature a variety of speakers, including a winner from TV show Dragons’ Den and Guernsey’s Chief Minister, Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez.

The event will champion founders who developed businesses focused on protecting life and road safety, and explores how the islands can serve as locations for testing social innovations before they are expanded to other regions.

The evening is intended to deliver a measurable community impact, with all proceeds from ticket sales donated to the Jersey Heart Support Group and Chest and Heart Guernsey to support local health services across the two largest Channel Islands.

Tickets to the event at BDO Jersey cost £6.13.

The event is being sponsored by Rathbones, BDO, C5 Alliance, Potting Shed, Tekex and Alt Collective.
