Guernsey’s Institute of Directors has appointed three new members to its main committee.

Rob Winter, Patrick Cunningham, and Richard Davey bring “expertise in digital technology, risk and compliance, and financial services” to the board, a spokesperson said.

IoD Chair Glen Tonks said he was “delighted to welcome” the trio, as they brought “a distinct perspective”.

“Together, they add real depth to the team,” he said, while: “Guernsey’s business community is navigating a period of significant change.”

Senior leader

Mr Winter, who is Head of Risk and Compliance at Guernsey Electricity, said he was “looking forward to working with the IoD and its members”.

As a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, he works closely with the board and other senior leaders.

Mr Winter has also served as a Non-Executive Director in the captive insurance sector, and holds the IoD Certificate in Company Direction.

AI advocate

Mr Cunningham is co-Founder of digital design agency Indulge.

A prominent voice on AI adoption, he said he was “honoured”.

“Hopefully, I can use my experience in technology combined with IoD’s reach to move Guernsey’s business community forward,” he added.

Powerful platform

Mr Davey is Senior Director of Finance Business Partners at CSC.

An FCCA-qualified finance professional, Richard has also completed the IoD Chartered Director qualification.

He said: “Guernsey’s strong global reputation provides a powerful platform for directors, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the committee’s work in supporting high standards and continued growth across the island’s business community.”
