The States services were linked in a move to improve both, while streamlining resources.
It has been described as “the first step in a longer journey of transformation and change” which has been focused on “integrating the two functions and improving customer experience.”
The launch of the combined service yesterday was planned to establish a “platform to deliver more efficient processes, reduce operating costs and improve customer satisfaction, furthering the intentions of the wider Public Service Reform framework.”
Customers will now be able to ring a single telephone number to deal with contributions or tax issues (705700, open from 08:45 to 16:00), send post to a single address (PO Box 37, St Peter Port, GY1 3AZ), and submit enquiries or information through one email address (revenueservice@gov.gg).
Over time, further integrated services and operational improvements will be introduced, including improving and increasing the service’s online functionality.
