The Medical Specialist Group has appointed a new Lead Nurse.
With more than 30 years of nursing experience, the MSG said Julie Jones brings a broad background spanning surgical nursing, cardiothoracic critical care, emergency nursing, clinical education, resuscitation training and community healthcare.
“Over the last 30 years, nursing has really proven to be the vocation I dreamed of,” she said.
“I feel so privileged to care for patients often during stressful and vulnerable moments in their lives.
“Looking ahead, I am excited to build on the excellent work already taking place at the MSG and continue developing our nursing team. My focus will be on ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care and support throughout their journey with us.”
In her new position, Nurse Jones will lead the MSG’s outpatient nursing team, which provides nursing and clinical care, patient education and support for patients attending outpatient appointments.
Dr Michelle Le Cheminant, Chair of the MSG, said Nurse Jones’ experience is vital for the role.
“Julie brings an outstanding combination of clinical expertise, leadership and educational experience to this role.
“Her passion for patient care and commitment to developing nursing excellence will strengthen our outpatient services and further enhance the experience of the patients we support.
“Nurses play a vital role in every stage of the patient journey, and Julie’s appointment marks an exciting step forward for the continued development of our services.”
