New Chairman Advocate Rupert Morris is a Partner and Head of Walkers’ Private Capital & Trusts Team in Guernsey, and has around 15 years’ practice as a private wealth specialist focusing on private client advisory and structuring work.
He was previously the Deputy Chair of STEP Guernsey and also sits as the Guernsey branch representative on the STEP Worldwide Council.
He has taken on the three year role of chair from Adèle Perrot. “The branch has been in capable hands under the leadership of Adèle for the past three years and as incoming chair I look forward to being able to build on her excellent work,” said Advocate Morris.
“As a branch, we are committed to continuing to provide professional development opportunities in the fiduciary sector.”
Taking on the role of Deputy Chair will be Greta Pender. Mrs Pender is a Client Service Director at Sequent and has 20 years’ experience in the Guernsey financial services industry working with high net worth individuals, administering complex structures crossing a number of jurisdictions, and working on assets from investment portfolios to art and yachts.
As well as being a STEP member, Greta is also an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute. She is also a member of the STEP Professional Development Committee.
