In a move which the firm hopes will “accelerate” its “digital evolution”, Tom Grogan has been named as Mourant’s new Chief Transformation Officer.
Mr Grogan was previously Head of Emerging Technology at Mishcon de Reya, and he brings experience in AI-driven innovation and operational strategy. He was also recognised as a Global Elite Thought Leader for FinTech and Blockchain by Lexology Index in 2024.
This follows other recent senior hires at Mourant, including Brad Hillson; formerly of Kirkland & Ellis Partner, as Global Head of Private Capital in May 2025.
Jonathan Rigby, the CEO at Mourant, welcomed Mr Grogan’s appointment.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Tom to Mourant. Tom’s appointment emphasises our reputation as an employer of choice and highlights the strength of our vision.”
Mr Rigby continued: “His expertise in transformation and digital innovation, as well as his passion for sustainability and ESG-driven solutions, will be instrumental as we continue to evolve our firm and position ourselves for long-term success.”
Mr Grogan said: “I’m delighted to be joining Mourant’s ambitious and forward-thinking leadership team at such a pivotal moment in its growth. We are looking to carve out a uniquely valuable proposition for our clients around the world.”
He continued: “I look forward to embracing this exciting opportunity to drive meaningful transformation and innovation.”
