It aims to give hands-on experience with structured learning and was launched last year to train recent graduates.

Throughout the programme, the pair will rotate through key departments, including Private Banking, Compliance, Intermediaries and Credit.

Mr Tostevin recently completed his degree in Business Economics at Bournemouth University, and was Julius Baer’s bursary student last year.

He said: “My experience as a bursary student gave me a great insight into the firm’s culture and operations, and I’m excited to work for an organisation which I know delivers excellent client service and treats their employees well.”

Meanwhile Mr Ball, who recently graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, said: “The programme offers well-rounded experience across various departments, from operations to client-facing roles. I’m looking forward to gaining valuable skills and obtaining professional qualifications along the way.”

Alexandra McInnes, Head of Julius Baer Guernsey, said: “Max and James are very welcome additions to our team. Their strong academic backgrounds and passion for learning make them a great fit for our programme.

“I feel confident that the combination of hands-on experience and mentorship will provide them with the skills and insights needed to thrive in the financial sector.”
