An accounting and business consultancy group has strengthened its team with a senior hire as the business continues to expand.
Accelerate, which was founded in 2024 and acquired Ambition Accountancy earlier this year, has welcomed Laura MacDonald as its HR and operations manager.
She brings more than 15 years’ experience supporting local organisations with people, processes, and operational management.
Her career has seen her hold a number of senior roles, including work throughout government and school environments, legal and professional services, as well as safeguarding positions across multiple sectors.

Ms MacDonald also established her own platform to create mentorship opportunities connecting students with local businesses and helping young people gain insight into the world of work.
