The hotel’s restaurant, Ocean, emphasises fresh Jersey produce, with traditional British food on the menu and a setting inspired by the surrounding sea views.

It was named ‘Restaurant of the Year’ by the Pride of Britain Hotels group at a ceremony last week.

The Pride of Britain Hotels group was formed in 1983 by a group of hoteliers, with the aim of offering curated British hospitality experiences to guests.

It now has over 50 members across the British Isles.

Representatives from The Atlantic Hotel travelled to Grantley Hall in Yorkshire to represent Jersey and receive the award.

Owner and managing director Patrick Burke said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive the Restaurant of the Year award from Pride of Britain Hotels.

“Being the only local member of this prestigious consortium makes us particularly proud to be flying the flag for Jersey, especially given the exceptional quality of the hotels and restaurants in membership.”

The award rewards establishments for their use of ingredients, presentation and hospitality.

Judges commended Ocean’s commitment to sustainability and world-class views.

Executive Chef Will Holland said: “Our goal at Ocean is to create a dining experience that not only tantalises the taste buds but also provides a feast for the eyes.

“The Restaurant of the Year award is a tribute to the passion and dedication of our entire team.”
