Bedell Cristin’s Jersey litigation team has added a seasoned local advocate to its roster as it continues to “focus on growth”.

Samantha Hoare, who qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 2012, has joined the team led by partners Robert Gardner, Edward Drummond, Robert Christie and Sonia Shah, which is ranked in the highest tier by both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

She moved offshore shortly after completing the Bar Course in England in 2007 and practised with two other leading Jersey law firms before joining Bedell Cristin.

Her background includes work on a number of high profile and complex trust matters concerning high net worth individuals, advising on regulatory issues, including matters relating to sanctions, TIEAs and AML/CFT compliance.

She also undertook a secondment to the Guernsey office of one of her previous firms to support the team working on a complex, high value trusts dispute.

Mr Gardner, who leads Bedell Cristin’s Jersey litigation team, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam on board – she has a lot of experience in the Jersey market, advising on the broad range of trusts disputes and commercial litigation that we specialise in.

“The team remains busy and we continue to focus on growth, and adding to the recruitment that we have seen over the past few years.”
