Alex Macaione and Rob Duarte

Investec Bank has announced two senior appointments in its Jersey Private Client team.

The firm has appointed Rob Duarte in Private Client Business Development in Jersey, alongside the internal promotion of Alex Macaione to Relationship Manager to join Susie Ryan in supporting day-to-day client relationships.

Mr Duarte will focus on developing new private client relationships, working with entrepreneurs, family officers, professionals and intermediaries, and supporting clients at the beginning of their relationship with the bank.

Clients will then be supported on an ongoing basis by relationship managers, who act as primary points of contact and work closely with clients and their advisers to adapt services over time.

Emily Dawson, Head of Private Clients at Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited, said the appointments reflected the bank’s long-term strategy in the island.

“These appointments reinforce our partnership-led approach to serving high-net-worth clients in Jersey,” she said.

“In Rob, Alex and Susie we have a team who work closely with clients over the long term, adapting support as needs change and acting as trusted points of contact.

“Our teams deliver a bespoke service tailored to individual client circumstances, built on continuity, collaboration and a strong understanding of clients’ priorities.

“Investec is deeply invested in the island and in the clients and advisers it supports here.”

Mr Duarte brings more than 20 years of experience in international banking and investment roles across the UK, US and Jersey – including senior business development positions supporting high-net-worth clients and intermediaries.

He said: “Investec is known in Jersey for its long-term commitment to clients and its relationship-led culture.

“I look forward to working closely with colleagues across the Private Client team to introduce clients to Investec and ensure they benefit from personalised, relationship-driven experience as their partnership with the bank develops.”
