Investec has appointed a new senior relationship manager in Jersey to strengthen Investec Asset Finance (Channel Islands) Limited’s leadership capacity on the island.
David Monks joins the company with over two decades of experience in lending, most recently having led Black Horse’s offices in Jersey and Guernsey in building long-standing relationships with buildings across the islands.
In his new role, Mr Monks will work with corporate clients to understand what they need to fund and help structure asset finance that supports both day-to-day requirements and longer-term growth plans.
IAFCI managing director FJ Eigelaar said: “David’s appointment reinforces our commitment to helping clients in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man with their asset finance needs.
“He brings deep local knowledge and the ability to build long term relationships.
“We support both individuals and businesses, and David strengthens our capability to deliver funding that is practical, responsive and tailored to what clients are trying to achieve.”
As a result of Mr Eigelaar’s promotion, Robin Clayton has moved into a part-time executive director role focused on supporting business growth.
Mr Clayton established the asset finance business in the Channel Islands and will continue to work with the team on business development and commercial opportunities across the islands.
IAFCI advisor Mr Clayton said: “I am proud of what we have built in the Channel Islands and I am pleased to continue supporting the team as the business grows.
“With FJ leading the business and David strengthening our coverage in Jersey, we are well placed to keep delivering a responsive relationship-led service for clients across the islands.”
IAFCI’s team supports the growth of privately-owned companies by developing solutions, including insurance premium funding, vehicle finance, IT infrastructure, business space refits, essential equipment and machinery, as well as aviation and marine assets.
