The Jersey Institute of Directors has welcomed two new committee members.
Stephen Alexander and Geraldine Evans, who both attained chartered director status this year, have joined the main Jersey committee.
Mr Alexander is a partner, advocate and practice leader of Mourant’s Jersey litigation practice.
As a chartered director and trusts and estate practitioner, he specialises in contentious private wealth, commercial litigation and restructuring.
He also serves on several industry committees, including the Law Society of Jersey Committee, and is INSOL Europe’s Country Co-ordinator for the Channel Islands.
Mr Alexander is joining the IoD Jersey committee as governance and policy lead supporting chair Alex Ruddy in her interactions with government, and supporting the committee with legal and governance matters.
Ms Evans is the co-founder and chief operating officer of Prosperity 24/7.
According to the IoD, she is passionate about technology and lifelong learning, and a strong advocate for personal development.
Ms Evans chair of the student subcommittee, focusing on the Future Leaders’ Scheme and the work emanating from the IoD white paper in relation to digital skills.
Ms Ruddy said: “Stephen and Geraldine both bring outstanding expertise and fresh perspectives, and we’re excited to have them on board.
“The IoD committee comprises senior professionals, four of whom are Chartered Directors, with others achieving Certificate and Diploma milestones or embarking on that journey.
“As volunteers we are committed to promoting good governance at business and government level.
“I am very grateful to the entire team for their passion, dedication and time commitment.”
