Consultancy firm CBO Projects has announced that one of its team members has been shortlisted for a national award.
Principal business analyst David Palzeaird is a finalist for the IIBA UK Business Analyst of the Year Award 2025.
The award recognises individuals who have made “significant contributions to business analysis practice” from across the UK, with a particular focus on resilience, analysis and modelling and collaboration.
The eight finalists will be guests at the annual IRM UK Business Analysis Conference Europe in London next month, where the winner will be announced.
As a finalist, Mr Palzeaird has already secured a place in the Business Analyst of the Year Hall of Fame.
He said: “It’s a real honour to be shortlisted alongside such talented business analysts and to represent CBO and the Channel Islands within the business analysis industry.
“My purpose over the past year has been to champion business analysis in the Channel Islands, to cultivate the best possible working environment for the Business Analysts I work with at CBO, and to deliver excellent Business Analysis for clients.
“It is great to have this recognised by being shortlisted.”
The firm said Mr Palzeaird had been “instrumental” in the building of CBO’s business analysis practice in Jersey and Guernsey and had “matured” the firm’s business analysis knowledge.
He is also a founding member of the Channel Island Business Analysts (CIBA), a local community designed to grow the understanding of business analysis across the islands.
Ed Mason-Smith, Director of Business Analysis for CBO Projects, said: “This nomination celebrates David’s business analysis expertise, high-quality work and desire to build a true understanding of business analysis across the Channel Islands.
“What sets David apart is that he brings our team, clients and community along the Business Analysis journey; he is a true ambassador for the profession.”
He added: “I am proud to work with such a talented and genuine individual, and the whole team at CBO could not be more pleased that David has been shortlisted for BA of the Year.”
