Speaking in this month’s Connect magazine, JT CEO Graeme Millar, said that the major deal would help to provide the funding to invest further in its local networks.
“It’s a five-year contract, so it gives us good revenues, good margins and actually is a very substantial foreign currency earning for the Island.
“They picked us for two or three reasons. We were quicker and faster than the other guys. Technically we’re very competent, and thirdly we offered a more personal service. That maybe sounds a little bit peculiar when we’re talking about a big company, but ultimately any company needs to have a lot of trust in its telecommunications partner.”
JT is a already a licensed operator in North America with a base in Boston, and 50 employees.The Kraft contract includes conferencing, call centre facilities, call recording and Microsoft Lync integration to Kraft’s 85,000 employees in North America, Canada, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
