They are actually cardboard cutouts, which are designed to help put Jersey ahead of the field when it comes to hosting events.

Jersey Conference Bureau hopes to milk their idea and get as many Islanders making and then sharing pictures of their cardboard cows in different locations on social media to show the world the cream of Jersey.

The Bureau is working closely with the British Red Cross and although there won’t be any prizewinners amongst this new herd they will be donating £1 to the charity for the first 500 cow pictures tweeted or emailed to them.
