A record number of trainees are starting their professional careers in a finance company with offices across the Islands.
KPMG in the Crown Dependencies has welcomed 34 people beginning their professional careers on its trainee scheme across its offices in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
Dermot Dempsey, Territorial Lead Partner at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, said: “We are thrilled to welcome so many trainees to KPMG.

“Investing in people is fundamental to our long-term success and to supporting the future prosperity of the Crown Dependencies.
“Our trainee programme offers an exceptional opportunity for ambitious individuals to gain professional qualifications while working alongside experienced colleagues on meaningful and varied client engagements.”
The newbies will work across the range of services KPMG provides its clients while studying to take professional exams.

The programme is designed to give its trainees a firm grounding in the fundamentals of finance through hands-on experience and classroom work.
Mr Dempsey added: “We are proud to continue creating opportunities for local peple to develop rewarding careers without leaving the Islands.
“These trainees represent the future of our business, and we look forward to supporting them as they begin their KPMG journey.”
