Independent private client, corporate, funds and pension services provider Fairway has appointed a new Client Director in its funds division.

Christina Gates brings almost 30 years of experience in the trust, corporate, and global financial services sector.

Before joining Fairway, she established and led the Jersey office of a leading litigation funder for almost a decade, acting as director for corporate entities across Jersey, Luxembourg, and Malta.

Prior to this, Ms Gates spent two decades managing complex fiduciary structures and their assets from both Jersey and Geneva, gaining extensive experience in leading teams and navigating multi-jurisdictional structures.

At Fairway, Ms Gates will focus on delivering administration, corporate secretarial, accounting, and trustee director services to funds, managed entities, and corporate investment structures.

Fairway CEO Alistair Rothwell said: “Christina’s appointment is another significant step in the expansion of our funds practice.

“Her deep experience across fiduciary and fund services, combined with her leadership and client-first mindset, will be invaluable as we continue to grow our platform and meet the evolving needs of our clients.”

Ms Gates added: “I am looking forward to getting to know our clients and structures, and to working alongside our brilliant Funds team.

“With my background in trust, corporate and fund services, I feel I can bring a wealth of transferable skills to support and enhance Fairway’s offering.

“Fairway’s culture and values contribute to a strong foundation for the business and were a key reason why I decided to progress my career with them.

“There are clear synergies between Fairway’s goals and my own, and I am excited to help progress these.”

Ms Gates holds a Diploma and Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, a Diploma in Trust and Estate Practice from the Institute of Financial Services, and the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management from Central Law Training International.

Outside of work, she is a keen trekker and has completed charity challenges including climbing Kilimanjaro and trekking coast to coast across Costa Rica.

More recently, life outside of the office is centred on raising her young daughter.
