Seymour Hotels has announced the appointment of a new general manager for the Pomme d’Or Hotel.
Russ Brown brings over four decades of experience in the hospitality industry to the role, having begun his career as a chef in London in 1979.
Early in his career, he travelled extensively around the world, honing his culinary expertise and gaining a deep appreciation for global cuisines and hospitality traditions.
Transitioning into management in 2008, Mr Brown quickly advanced to the role of deputy general manager of a five-star hotel in Manchester.
He later moved into a senior leadership role as a director of food and beverage, based in London, where he oversaw operations across three five-star and nine four-star hotels.
During this time, Mr Brown successfully led the launch of multiple restaurant brands, further strengthening his reputation for innovation and operational excellence.
In 2015, he returned to hotel management. Over the past decade, Mr Brown has successfully led a portfolio of luxury properties, including three five-star and two four-star hotels.
Outside of his professional life, Mr Brown is an avid football enthusiast and a dedicated supporter of Middlesbrough FC.
He also has a passion for travel and an interest in history, particularly the heritage of the destinations he explores, alongside enjoying local cuisine and culture.
