He said: “This Skills, Recognition, and Awards Evening enables us to highlight the great work of Jersey schools, colleges and employers in providing workplace insights and skills to our young people.
“The development of our skills and lifelong learning provision is extremely important to me and one of this Government’s Common Strategic Policy top priorities.”
Educators, employers and mentors were also recognised for their work in nurturing talent and guiding learners.
The Minister said it was “inspiring” to hear the stories and achievements of both winners and nominees.
He added: “I am passionate about building on the already excellent offer of apprenticeships.
“Following approval of the budget in the Assembly last week, I will be allocating additional money to apprenticeship funding which will broaden the career pathways available for our young people and strengthen local industries.
“Investing in this area will develop the future workforce our island requires and support the ambitions of the Future Economy Programme.”
