On Saturday 13 June, Guernsey Museums will be marking His Majesty the King’s Official Birthday with free entry to all its museum sites.
Castle Cornet will be open from 10am to 5pm, with the highlight of the day being the annual 21-gun salute performed by the volunteer gun crew at noon to mark the Royal birthday. The public are invited to watch this spectacular event.
At Guernsey Museum at Candie, open from 10.00 to 17.00, visitors can enjoy the museum’s permanent collections, as well as the current exhibition Lost in Nature, which features nature-inspired artworks, an immersive soundscape and a striking video installation.
For those eager to discover more of Guernsey’s rich heritage, Fort Grey will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm, while the German Naval Signals HQ will welcome visitors from 10.30am to 3pm.
