The GSPCA welcomed six enthusiastic volunteers from Langham Hall (Guernsey) Limited who generously gave their time to support the shelter’s vital work with animals and the community.

The team arrived at 9am, greeted by Tim Pellet, GSPCA Community and Training Officer, who captured a quick photo before the group rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in. Their day included:

  • Walking dogs and helping with the cats in the shelter
  • Gardening around the site to keep the grounds tidy and welcoming
  • Washing dolphins from the Dolphin Discovery Trail, which are being prepared for reauctioning in aid of the GSPCA and Autism Guernsey
  • Counting a giant bucket of donated coins, which totalled over £200

Their efforts made a real difference, and the GSPCA team was deeply grateful for their help.

Tim Pellet, GSPCA Community and Training Officer, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome the Langham Hall team. They were full of energy and enthusiasm, and their support across so many areas was a huge help. Corporate volunteering days like this are a fantastic way to give back and we’re always thrilled to host teams who want to make a difference.”

Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, added: “We’re incredibly thankful to Langham Hall for their time and kindness. Volunteers are the heart of the GSPCA, and corporate groups bring such a positive boost to our work. Whether it’s helping with animals, fundraising, or site maintenance, every bit of support helps us continue our mission.”
