Well done Guernsey!
This year, we have produced a lot less waste, and recycled loads more. Thank you.
Here are some things you need to know this Christmas.
Don’t throw away your hard earned cash
With all the effort (and expense!) you put into Christmas lunch, it will be a shame if any goes to waste.
Check out www.LoveFoodHateWaste.gg for lots of tasty leftover ideas and other money saving tips that will make any Scrooge happy.
Don’t get caught out
Remember to check out the arrangements for your bin collections over Christmas and New Year at www.gov.gg/mybinnight.
Let us recycle your Xmas tree
Every year we recycle around 6,000 Christmas Trees. They get shredded along with our other green waste and turned into a wonderful soil conditioner.
Drop yours off for free from 27 December at Chouet Green Waste Site, Queux Plant Centre, Le Friquet Garden Centre, or the Longue Hougue Household Waste & Recycling Centre.
