As part of its ongoing partnership with local charity Music in Action, LV Care Group is pleased to announce a new series of live classical music therapeutic workshops which will take place across its care homes this October.
Residents will enjoy an intimate performance of Beethoven’s Serenade in D Major, Op. 8, beautifully brought to life by a professional string trio. The first of the workshops will take place on Wednesday 9th October at 12pm at Cheval Roc, followed by three sessions on Thursday 10th October at 11am at Le Petit Bosquet, 2pm at St Joseph’s, and 3:30pm at La Haule.
These workshops are part of the LV Care Group’s outreach programme, a year-long initiative designed to support wellbeing through live music. So far this year, the programme has reached over 280 elderly residents across the island, both in LV Care homes and others, helping to ensure access to music for as many elderly islanders as possible.
“We are proud to support initiatives that create meaningful experiences for those in our care,” said Chris Shelton, Chief Operating Officer at LV Care Group. “These workshops are more than just entertainment, they offer moments of joy, stimulation and connection that have a lasting impact on our residents and colleagues, with clear evidence of improved mood, engagement and emotional connection among participants.”
This latest round of workshops marks the final performances in the current outreach series, which has seen LV Care Group and Music in Action deliver high-quality live music directly into care settings across Jersey.
“At Music in Action, we believe live music has the power to lift spirits, spark memories and bring people together,” said Thibault Blanchard, Manager of Music in Action Jersey. “These workshops are a wonderful way to share the joy of music with residents who may not otherwise have access to performances, and we’re delighted to continue this partnership with LV Care Group to make a positive impact across the island.”
