Park play areas to reopen

MEDIA RELEASE: The views expressed in this article are those of the author and not Bailiwick Express, and the text is reproduced exactly as supplied to us

Outside children’s play areas in several Government parks will reopen by early afternoon tomorrow (Friday, 19 June) following the completion of safety inspections and the cleaning of equipment.

Children using these facilities must be under the supervision of parents/guardians. Good hand hygiene and two-metre physical distancing must be followed. Please use the hand washing facilities in the public toilets near the play areas.

The play areas that will be reopening are:

  • Coronation Park
  • Howard Davis Park
  • Millennium Town Park
  • Longbeach - Gorey
  • St Aubin promenade gardens
  • Promenade Trim Trail

The play areas at Les Quennevais, Springfield and Fort Regent will remain closed because a statutory annual inspection by an independent UK-based inspector has not yet been possible.
