Alderney has been liberated!

Friday 23 October 2015

Liberation Group has acquired a landmark property in Alderney as the company maintains its growth strategy.

The company has purchased the Chez Andre hotel and pub, which is the Island's largest hotel and is situated in the heart of the capital, St Anne.

The hotel has 28 bedrooms, a bar and restaurant that can cater for up to 60 covers. There is also an Orangery and two al fresco areas.

The Chez Andre is the second hotel to join the company's Channel Island portfolio. In 2014 Liberation Group acquired the iconic Old Court House bar and restaurant in Jersey.

Mark Crowther, Chief Executive of Liberation Group said: "This property is of significant strategic value for the Group.

"We continue to invest in our portfolio, either through refurbishment or acquisition both in the Channel Islands and in the UK. I am delighted to welcome the Chez Andre to our range of pubs, bars, eateries and hotels.

"We have a number of options for the site in the future."

Alderney is the most northerly, and third largest of the Channel Islands.

Liberation Group's portfolio in the Channel Islands consists 73 venues in Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney
