Apex acquires tech and events provider

Channel Islands financial services provider Apex Group has acquired Context365 LLC.

Context365 is a global provider of technology and events which aim to bring together alternative asset class investors with asset managers.

The transaction, whose terms have not been disclosed, follows the acquisition of Senasen (now Profilir) and Apex taking a majority shareholding in FundAdminChain.

Founder and CEO of Apex Group Peter Hughes said: “Over the course of the last two years, investors have increasingly been turning to technology platforms such as Context365 to supplement in-person meetings to support capital allocation and raising objectives. This acquisition gives us new capabilities through its large events function, and further supports our ability to make capital allocation and raising more efficient for our clients through digital capital raising solutions.”

Eric Noll, CEO of Context365, added: “We are confident that Apex is the right party to take what we built to the next level. This transaction represents Context’s complete exit from the capital raising segment placing it in the best hands possible.”
