A Jersey advocate has been nominated for the title of Woman of the Year in the Citywealth International Powerwomen Awards 2024.
The Awards seek to recognise individuals and organisations that champion women's potential in the wealth sector, promoting best practices and positive social influence in the industry as a whole.
Barbara Corbett, Senior Partner at Corbett Le Quesne, previously received the prestigious Editor’s Choice Award at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards and was a finalist for the Inspirational Woman of the Year Award.
Beyond her legal practice, Advocate Corbett is a founding member of Women in Family Law, an organisation aiming to support women's career opportunities and development, particularly within the legal profession.
She is also a Jersey Law Commissioner, Deputy Chair of the Income Support and Medical Appeal Tribunals, and Trustee of the St. Helier Youth and Community Trust. She is also actively engaged with the Jersey Children Panel and the Mental Health Review Tribunal Panel.
