A local advocate has contributed to Thomson Reuters' 'Practical Law'.
Advocate Barbara Corbett was once again asked to provide a section in relation to family law in Jersey.
Practical Law is an internationally recognised resource for lawyers and their clients, providing peer reviewed documents and practice notes among other information.
The areas covered in the Jersey family law section which Advocate Corbett contributed include jurisdiction and conflict of law; pre- and post-nuptial agreements; divorce, nullity, and judicial separation; children; surrogacy and adoption; cohabitation; family dispute resolution; civil partnership/same-sex marriage; and controversial areas and reform.
Advocate Corbett commented: “I was honoured to be asked to provide the Jersey Family Law entry for Thomson Reuters again. International lawyers and clients use this resource when they have questions about family law. It is important to have accurate information online but equally that clients obtain individual advice directly from a specialist Jersey family lawyer.”
