Two members of a Jersey family law team have been shortlisted for national awards. Barbara Corbett, Partner and Head of Family Law of Benest Corbett Renouf, has been nominated for Partner of the Year, whilst Legal Assistant Jamie Lee Morgan, is recognised in the Chartered Legal Executive / Paralegal of the Year category of the Family Law Awards.
They are the only Jersey candidates selected as finalists, and will find out whether they have won their respective categories at an awards ceremony which will take place in London, in November this year.
Advocate Corbett explained: “It is an accolade to be shortlisted for awards in our respective categories. In order to be selected as finalists, entrants need to demonstrate their commitment to family law by submitting client testimonials, confirming their engagement with ongoing training, and to resolving family disputes in a constructive fashion. At Benest Corbett Renouf, we also show this commitment by organising annual conferences with both family finance and children themes, and by undertaking free of charge family law information sessions.”
