Environmental scientist joins Jersey Water

Jersey Water has appointed a Chartered Process Chemist and Environmental Scientist as its new Operations Director.

In her new role, Julie Taylor will head up the water supply side of the company while leading the Water Supply, Water Quality, Asset Management and Water Network Teams.

She previously was the UK Water Director for Veolia, a company specialised in environmental waste, water and energy management services.

I am delighted and honoured to be joining Jersey Water," Ms Taylor said.

"The company has a real family feel that I value and I'm looking forward to working with all of the team to ensure we continue to deliver the best possible service to our customers, delivering an essential service to our island community.

Helier Smith, Chief Executive at Jersey Water, added: “We are delighted to welcome Julie to the Executive Team at Jersey Water. Having a Director of Julie’s calibre strengthens our leadership team and brings considerable expertise and experience as we continue to adapt and change our water supply operations to meet the needs of our customers and address important strategic topics including water quality and resources.”
