Care provider commits to menopause-friendly workplace

Family Nursing and Home Care has announced it has signed the 51 Employers Pledge, committing to enable a menopause-friendly workplace.

Led by The Diversity Network, See Her Thrive and Affinity Private Wealth, the 51 Employers Pledge is open to Jersey businesses, public sector entities and charities and stands as "an opportunity to be agents of change by signing up to a progressive, 14-point pledge on the topic of menopause, in the workplace."

The pledges include:

  • treating menopause with the same level of seriousness, care and support as we do with other physical and mental health conditions;

  • taking an individual approach to menopause support, recognising that everyone’s journey is different and should be considered on a case-by-case basis; and

  • making evidence-based information about the menopause available and accessible to all staff, including signposting to internal and external sources of support.

FNHC says it looks forward to working with The Diversity Network to ensure a menopause-friendly and positive workplace.

CEO Rosemarie Finley commented: “At FNHC we are committed to supporting all of our colleagues through every stage of their lives. Recognising the menopause as a significant health event for women and also making sure we support them through this time is just part of what we must do to care for our colleagues."
