The shortlist of finalists for the 2015 Jersey Business Awards for Enterprise has been published.
Candidates could choose from six categories and, in some cases, entered more than one depending on the stories they have to tell. Separate judging panels for each award have independently analysed the entries scoring them against specific criteria designed to assess the attributes exhibited by best practice organisations in the category.
Each finalist will now prepare to meet and present to the judging panels in what will be their last chance to convince the judges that their business should be crowned the winner in their category. The ultimate winners will be announced at the Jersey Business Awards for Enterprise gala evening to be held at the Royal Jersey Showground on Friday 15 May.
Graeme Smith, Chief Executive of Jersey Business said: “We are delighted with both the number and the high calibre of businesses entering the 2015 Awards. The quality of entrants this year was particularly high and so those that have made it to the shortlist have already achieved considerable success. I would like to wish all the finalists luck in the last but very important stage of the process, when they present their submissions to the judging panel in a few weeks’ time.”
The Jersey Business Awards for Enterprise will be the ultimate celebration of a week of events considering the Future of Business in Jersey. Starting on Tuesday 12th May the opening seminar will discuss global trends and the opportunities these present for Jersey. Partnering with PwC, this seminar will lead into a series of further events that will discuss these themes in more detail including Smart Cities Smart Island, Leading and Managing the Workplace of the Future, e-health and the Brave New World of Business Funding.
The Awards for Enterprise gala evening will be hosted by BBC business reporter Steph McGovern and tickets are now available for the Jersey Business Awards for Enterprise at www.jerseybusiness.je/awards.
