Oben has appointed a chartered accountant, who worked in the Jersey Financial Services Commission's Examination Unit as the Senior Manager of its regulatory practice.
Sharon Wake is considered a key figure of the unit, where she played a central role in the development and design of the revised risk-based examination methodology, and contributed to the themes set for supervisory visits and led visits to regulated entities.
Prior to this role, she was a senior manager in the Commission’s Enforcement team, where she managed all aspects of an enforcement case, and held other regulatory and advisory roles.
Nicola Ingram, a Director at Oben Regulatory, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sharon to Oben. Sharon comes to us with a wealth of experience and expertise.
"Her skill set perfectly complements our existing team and is an exciting addition to our regulatory offering. Her appointment responds to the increasing number of enquiries Oben is receiving for advice and support on regulatory matters.”
