Jersey's first 'Offshore Share Plans Summit' launched

Tuesday 04 September 2018

A local firm has teamed up with "the voice of employee share ownership in the UK" to launch the island's first ever summit dedicated to share plans.

A collaboration between InterTrust and ProShare, the summit is designed to help corporates, advisory and law firms, trustees and service providers gain insights into the employee incentives and corporate services industry.

A number of sessions held at Intertrust's offices this Thursday will see the company provide technical and practical updates, while ProShare and law firm White & Case will focus on regulatory aspects and how digitisation is changing the industry. Deliveroo will present a case study on how share plans are managed in a high-growth, privately held company.

Shane Hugill (pictured), Director of Intertrust's Performance and Reward Management team, said that the company was "excited to work with ProShare" on what they hope will be a "great forum for industry experts to share their knowledge and opinions."

“The summit will provide an opportunity to network with industry peers to gain insights into trustee hedging strategies, current best practice for trust financing arrangements and the efficient use of equity capital. We're pleased to be working alongside ProShare on this inaugural event and are looking forward to welcoming attendees from the UK and local community," he said.

Gabbi Stopp, Executive Director of ProShare, added: "Trustees are frequently the unsung heroes of the equity and cash compensation world, which is why we're extremely pleased to have teamed up with Intertrust to launch our inaugural summit in Jersey. Regardless of whether your compensation strategy is focused on cash or equity, or both, this will be a stimulating and informative event."

The Summit will take place between 14:00 and 17:00 this Thursday at Intertrust’s office at 44 Esplanade, St Helier.
