Matthew Christensen joins Elian Private Wealth as Associate Director

Elian has appointed Matthew Christensen as an Associate Director.

Mr Christensen has joined Elian’s private wealth division; he will identify and develop new business opportunities as well work with a number of existing clients.

"I am excited to have joined such a strong team within a well-established organisation. Elian has a significant growth agenda, and my previous experience will help me to develop relationships and contribute to the company's growth," said Mr Christensen, who was born and educated in Jersey.

Mr Christensen moved to Elian from Volaw Trust & Corporate Services Ltd where he held senior positions in funds and Islamic finance, most recently as a director of Volaw Fund Services Ltd. He has also worked in the advisory department at KPMG Channel Islands Ltd, with a focus on transaction services, restructuring and insolvency engagements, and Deloitte in London, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.

A trustee of the Jersey Community Relations Trust, Mr Christensen has also spent time on secondment with Jersey Finance, where he worked in strategic project management. He was involved in a number of high profile reviews and reports, including the Capital Economics 'Jersey's Value to Britain' report and the McKinsey Jurisdictional Review, an independent review of Jersey’s financial services industry, published in 2014.

His skills, strong work ethic and good rapport with colleagues and clients will help Elian to continue to deliver the highest level of service to our global client base."
