Mourant Ozannes have announced that Stefan Chinniah has been sworn in as an Advocate.

Having successfully completed his qualifications locally, Advocate Chinniah studied law at the College of Law, Bristol and holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University.

Advocate Chinniah has undertaken placements at a number of firms in Jersey and the UK, and joined Mourant Ozannes in 2012.

His main expertise is in investment funds, where he has been involved in a number of high profile matters.

During 2015, the significant transactions for Advocate Chinniah included advising on a £175m acquisition of an 80% stake in Uxbridge Shopping Centre, and Jersey and Guernsey advice to Henderson Global Investors in relation to a $22.6bn joint venture with North American asset manager Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association - College Retirement Equities Fund.
